This is a super cool item! I have it in my cabinet as part of an African display with crystal African animal figurines. It's a good size and everyone comments on my realistic display!
I placed it on the Parsons table at the entrance on My home. I have other Asian things that go with the artificial bonsai.
These really do look REAL when viewed from three or four feet away. I tweak the shape and position of some of the branches and foliage a little to make them look less perfect but you wont find another brand that looks as real as these do. They are worth the money.
The only thing that could be better is right around the base of the trunk of the tree.... they have a weird line there where the flocking ends but you can fix that by brushing them with a small wire brush to remove some of the flocking and make the transition more random looking.
I transplanted a few of mine into my own bonsai pots that I liked and added my own gravel and miniature pagodas and such, but I also kept a couple of them as they came. I have one inside the house and the others outside mixed in with some real bonsai-ed plants... no one can tell the difference. when the sun is on them there is a slight sheen to the foliage but you can spray them with "dull coat" as you do for models and it will eliminate that entirely. You can pick up dull coat at a hobby store.
I was looking in my local area for a real bonsai and no one had the size or look I wanted. I was a little hesitant to spend money on an artificial one online based on a photo but I pulled the trigger. I received this tree 2 days later and was very impressed with the detail and size. Great addition for the office or home!
