For the win

I love these Pruning Shears!!! I purchased them to trim some hanging branches and some shrubs. They worked like a charm! They are so sharp and easy to use. I didn’t have to squeeze very hard on most of them. But if they were about 1/2” diameter I used the shears to score the branch then bend it and then used the shears to cut it off. The handles are covered with a textured rubber so they are slip resistant and feel slightly padded. I had no trouble using them, even with RA/OA in my hands. I am so pleased with these shears and proud of the work that got done because of them.

Excellent, dependable shears that last for years

For 31 years, I've been the volunteer caretaker of a 7 acre cemetery. I work in the gardens in the cemetery at least 4 days per week. We periodically have small groups of people volunteer to help, so I own 6 of these shears. They are very reasonably priced and sturdy. They cut well, but don't try to cut anything wider than a half-inch diameter or so, or you will force the blades out of whack. A few times per year, I put some household oil in all the moving parts of these shears to keep them opening and closing well. Please don't leave them outdoors or they will rust. We had a volunteer lose hers and I found the shears on a headstone a few months later. If you accidentally leave them outdoors, just soak them in a water/vinegar solution (a few tablespoons of vinegar in a cup of water is enough) for an hour and the rust will dissolve. Then you can oil them and they'll work great again.

Nice and well-m

These are really nice tree pruners. This tool is sharp and easy to use. I bought this pruner to prune my potted citrus trees, and it worked great. Should last about forever. Very well-made and nice. Recommended.

Clean Cuts, Great Handle

Oh - these are VERY nice! I tend to use items until they have zero life left in them and after sharpening my old pruner again and again I decided to buy new. The grip is solid but soft and the blades are wonderfully sharp. After using them for Fall cleanup, all my plants got clean cuts and I never had any jamming of material. It's great to have a new tool that really works and seems to be very well made.

Great pruners

I bought these a couple years ago when I lost some. I did no research, they just happened to be a deal of the day. And these are hands down the best pruners I've owned. Comfortable, sharp, effective at making nice clean cuts.

These are so sharp you have to be extra careful, which I suppose would be the only negative. You can hurt yourself with these as the tip is very sharp. So I wouldn't let a child use them, and if you are particularly clumsy you might want to find something with a blunted end.

Other than that, I've used and abused these, left them out, cut bigger branches than I should, and two years later they are still sharp and effective.

I really love this pruner

I really love this pruner. Used it to prune all my 6 young fruit trees with ease - well almost all 6, until I heard a snap and the tension spring flew out and landed somewhere deep in my newly mulched yard. Wish the spring is more tightly secured. 4 stars because of this. Anyone knows how to get a replacement part?

The can-do-it-all pair of gardening shears

I admittedly don't do a ton of gardening, but I was very impressed by these shears ability to dominate practically any size branch/stem that I could fit into its jaws. I cut down several large branches off a tree in my front yard and when processing it to smaller pieces, these shears could even tackle half-inch thick branches.

I'd say that if you plan on using these for general gardening, cutting flower stems or thick weeds, these bad boys will tear through those tasks. If you need to cut thicker items, these will also do the trick but likely wear them out much faster. When my pair dies, I definitely plan on re-ordering the same pair.
